Fix the mistake: Grade 3-4 Foreign Language Activities
Greetings and Self-Introductions
You will learn how to greet people and talk about yourself in English. You can use these expressions when talking with friends or people you are meeting for the first time.
Basic Rules
For “good morning,” say Good morning; for “hello,” say Hello or Hi; and for “goodbye,” say Goodbye or Bye. When telling someone your name, say "I'm ..."(I’m〜). Simply put I'm before your name. When asking someone’s name, ask "What's your name?"(What’s your name).
Hello! I'm Yuki.(Hello. I am Yuki)
What's your name?(What is your name?)
Nice to meet you.(It is nice to meet you)
Be Careful
The greeting you use changes depending on the time of day. Use Good morning in the morning, Good afternoon during the day, and Good evening at night. Hi and Hello are useful greetings that you can use at any time. You can also say "My name is ..." when telling someone your name, but "I'm ..." is shorter and used more often.
