問題解決型・提案型エッセイ
「〜という問題にどう対処すべきか」「〜を改善する方法は」というテーマのエッセイを書く技術です。
基本ルール
問題解決型エッセイの構成：
1. 序論：問題の提起 + 重要性
2. 本論1：問題の原因分析
3. 本論2：解決策の提案（具体的に）
4. 結論：解決策の意義 + 実行への呼びかけ
提案型エッセイの構成：
1. 序論：現状認識 + 改善が必要であること
2. 本論：具体的な提案（2〜3個）+ それぞれの実行方法
3. 結論：提案の総括 + 効果
頻出表現：
- 問題提起：「One of the biggest problems is X. / There is a serious issue concerning X.」
- 原因分析：「This problem stems from Y. / The root cause is Z.」
- 提案：「To solve this, we should W. / I suggest that we V.」
- 実行：「Specifically, ... / In practice, this means ...」
- 効果：「This would result in ... / As a consequence, ...」
序論：Bullying is a serious problem in many schools. It can damage students' mental health for years.
原因分析：The root cause is often a lack of communication. Students who feel isolated may turn to aggression to gain attention.
解決策：To solve this, schools should create regular discussion groups where students can share their feelings. Teachers should be trained to notice early warning signs.
結論：Although bullying is complex, building stronger communication can reduce it significantly.
注意点
① 具体的な解決策を書く：「We should be kind to each other.」は曖昧。「Schools should hold weekly discussion sessions」のように行動可能なレベルで書く。
② 原因と解決策の対応：原因「コミュニケーション不足」→ 解決策「コミュニケーションを増やす」のように、原因に対応した解決策を提示する。
③ 効果の予測：解決策の後に「This would ...（こうなるだろう）」と効果を述べると、説得力が増す。
④ 実行可能性：理想論ではなく、実際にできる範囲の解決策を書く。「Everyone should be happy」のような願望ではなく、「Schools can implement ...」のような実行可能な提案。
⑤ 関係者を明示：誰が解決策を実行するのか（schools / governments / students / parents）を明確に。
- 構成：問題提起 → 原因分析 → 解決策 → 結論
- 具体的な解決策（行動可能なレベル）
- 原因と解決策の対応関係
- 効果を予測（This would result in ...）
- 実行主体を明示（schools/governments/students）
練習
- 「環境汚染問題」に対する具体的な解決策を1文書きなさい（誰が何をする）。
- 「The root cause is ...」の文を1つ書きなさい（テーマ：学習意欲の低下）。
- 「This would result in ...」を使って、提案の効果を1文書きなさい。
