Performance comparison: which is faster?
Intel Arc A750 8GB (Intel, 2022) and Intel Arc A580 8GB (Intel, 2023) are compared here. Compare scores and VRAM, generative AI usability, and CPUs that pair well with each GPU.
Overall performance: Arc A750 8GB is about 23.8% faster
Both have 8GB of VRAM, so they support a similar range of generative AI models. For gaming, prioritize performance score and CPU compatibility; for AI, prioritize VRAM.
Relative performance score (higher is faster). Actual fps varies by resolution, game, and CPU configuration.
| Item | Arc A750 8GB | Arc A580 8GB |
|---|---|---|
| Performance Score | 13,000 | 10,500 |
| VRAM | 8GB | 8GB |
| Manufacturer | Intel | Intel |
| Series | Arc | Arc |
| Release Year | 2022 | 2023 |
| Compatible CPU Example | Core i7-6700K | Core i7-5775C |
| If You Want To... | Recommended |
|---|---|
| Prioritize high fps and smooth performance in demanding games | Arc A750 8GB |
| Run larger generative AI and LLM models | Arc A750 8GB |
| Prioritize value and adequate performance | Arc A580 8GB (the lower model is often sufficient) |
Arc A750 8GB is about 23.8% higher by score (Arc A750 8GB: 13000 points / Arc A580 8GB: 10500 points). Actual fps also varies by resolution, game, and CPU, so price is a reasonable deciding factor when the gap is only a few percent.
Both have 8GB of VRAM, so the range of generative AI models they can run is nearly the same.
Using our guideline, Core i7-6700K pairs well with Arc A750 8GB and Core i7-5775C with Arc A580 8GB (CPU:GPU ≈ 0.9:1). If the CPU is too weak, replacing the GPU may not raise fps, so check the combination before buying.
