Let's connect the expressions we have learned and write a short passage introducing yourself.
Basic Rules
Create a self-introduction by connecting several sentences in an order such as name → things you like → things you can do → things you want. Separate sentences with a period (.), and begin each sentence with a capital letter. Each sentence must include a subject (such as I) and a verb (such as like, can, or want).
My name is Yuki. I like cats. I can play tennis. I want a new bag.
注意
When you want to connect many ideas, you can also use and. You can connect two things, as in "I like cats and dogs." Always remember to put a period (.) at the end of each sentence. Check once again that names and place names always begin with a capital letter.
- Begin a sentence with a capital letter and end it with a period (.)
- Always include a subject and a verb in each sentence
- You can connect things with and (cats and dogs)
- Writing in the order name → things you like → things you can do → things you want makes your writing easier to organize
Practice
- Try writing one sentence introducing your name.
- Write two things you like using and.
- Try connecting three or more sentences to write your self-introduction.
